    <title>Two notable beetle records from Southern Germany</title>

    <description>On July 17th, 2010 one specimen of the dung beetle Aphodius zenkeri was found in the natural forest reserve 'Stuttpferch' in the forest 'Bienwald' by 
    using a light trap. The 4-5 mm large species is characterized by a conspicuous punctation of the elytra and its red colored clypeus.
    On July 18th, 2010 one specimen of the ladybird Vibidia duodecimguttata was discovered on the 'Friesenheimer Insel' in Mannheim by using a beating tray on a shrub. 
    V. duodecimguttata is 3-4 mm long and somewhat smaller than the similar species of the genus Halyzia and Calvia. The spots on the elytra form a hexagon.</description>

    <title>Two notable beetle records from the forest 'Bienwald' near Büchelberg (Palatinate)</title>

    <description>Last week one specimen each of the false darkling beetle Abdera affinis and the very rare net-winged beetle Benibotarus taygetanus were discovered
    in the forest 'Bienwald' near Büchelberg. Both specimen were attracted to a light trap during the hot summer night.</description>

    <title>Record of Bryaxis collaris in the Schlierbach valley near Neuler</title>

    <description>On June 20th, 2010 a single specimen of the short-winged mold beetle Bryaxis collaris (family Pselaphidae) was discovered in the Schlierbach valley near Neuler (430 m ASL). 
    The animal was found in a spruce forest near the brook 'Schlierbach' by sifting old fir cones.</description>

    <title>Record of Cylindromorphus filum and Labidostomis lucida on the Heimberg near Waldböckelheim and record of Trinodes hirtus in the city forest of Frankfurt</title>

    <description>On June 13th, 2010 several specimens of the jewel beetle Cylindromorphus filum and two specimens of Labidostomis lucida were found on a south-facing slope 
    on the Heimberg near Waldböckelheim in the lower vegetation. On June 12th, 2010 numerous specimens of Trinodes hirtus (family Dermestidae) were observed in 
    the city forest of Frankfurt.</description>
