Anfrage: Found last weekend, Beskid mountains (about 900 m.a.s.l.), South Poland. Sorry for bad photos.
Art, Familie:
Zacladus geranii
Curculionidae
Antwort: Hi Inja, this weevil belongs into the genus, and is most likely Zacladus geranii. The smaller sibling species Zacladus exiguus usually (but not exclusively) lives on small-flowered Stork-bills, like Geranium pusillus, whereas your Fotos a large-flowered species of Geranium. Some residual uncertainty remains. Size measurement would have helped. Best wishes, Michael
