The tumbling flower beetles (Mordellidae) are mostly small beetles of characteristic body shape with a prolonged pygidium, which reminds of a sting. The species develop in various woods or on herbaceous plants. The thermophilic beetles are distributed worldwide (approx. 1500 species). From Germany 80 species have been recorded. |
