On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

bei der Körpervermessung wollte er schon durchstarten, aber es hat geklappt, er ist ca.4,5mm lang. Sein Namen habe ich mit Anthocomus fasciatus ermittelt.

Comment: Hi Inja, this weevil belongs into the genus, and is most likely Zacladus geranii. The smaller sibling species Zacladus exiguus usually (but not exclusively) lives on small-flowered Stork-bills, like Geranium pusillus, whereas your Fotos a large-flowered species of Geranium. Some residual uncertainty remains. Size measurement would have helped. Best wishes, Michael

Request: ca. 4mm großer Borkenkäfer der am 21.5.14 nach einem Waldbesuch (abwechslungsreicher Laub- Mischwald) aus der Kleidung fiel. Kann man den anhand der nicht besonders scharfen Bilder bestimmen?
