View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Species, family:
Tanymecus cf. palliatus

Deister, 200 m, 25.4.2014
Species, family:
Anoplotrupes stercorosus

Request: Thanks for the other ID, this is Scarites cyclops?
(Costa de Caparica, Portugal - 12.06.2014)
Species, family:
Scarites sp.
Carabidae
Comment: Good morning MiguelBk, genus Scarites is right. But I don't know which species this could be. There is a number of species of this genus occuring on the iberian peninsula and they all look more or less the same. I could get down on specieslevel by the beetle itself, but don't have enough experience to identify by photo. Sorry. Best regards, Klaas

Species, family:
Lagria hirta
Lagriidae

LG, Christoph
