On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo, 22.09.19, Holzbachtal bei Kusel in frischem Pferdeäpfeln, 11-12mm, hat sich leider erfolgreich minutenlang Tod gestellt, (KI: Aphodius rufipes, 10%, Rang 1), wieder am Boden war er blitzschnell verschwunden. Aphodius rufipes könnte hinkommen.

Request: Zwei gleich große und gleich hell gefärbte Käfer fand ich unter einem Stein. Ist das Harpalus flavescens? Oder eine andere Art in nicht ausgefärbtem Zustand? Das Habitat könnte zu flavescens passen: Es gibt in diesem Gebiet fast vegetationsfreie Sandflächen, die nicht durch die Trockenheit dieses Sommers bedingt sind. Zu kurz kommt er mir allerdings vor, aber vielleicht sitzt er nur etwas bucklig. Romberg, 17.09.2019
