On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Udo59, das arme Spinnenopfer war ein Tasgius, hier noch zu Ocypus gestellt. Er gehört in die melanarius-Verwandtschaft, eine Bestimmung bekomme ich da nicht hin. Ocypus olens hat einen matteren Kopf und Halsschild, ist etwas breiter gebaut und unterscheidet sich auch durch die Kopfform von Tasgius. Viele Grüße, Moritz

Request: Etwas off range, aber da das Land hier anwählbar ist, versuche ich es mal - vielleicht kennt ja jemand zumindest die Gattung. Diese Käfer saßen am 26.08.2019 im West Coast Nationalpark, Western Cape, Südafrika, in sandigen Küstendünen auf den Blüten von Senecio arenarius (Sandliebendes Greiskraut).
