On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Ich denke, das könnte ein Geotrupes stercorarius sein. Die Form der Mandibeln kann man zwar schlecht sehen, aber die Hinterleibssegmente scheinen mir auch in der Mitte behaart und gepunktet. Länge 24mm, mit Beißerchen noch etwas länger, gefunden unter einem Pferdehaufen am Rand des Effelsberger Walds, am 04.08.2019. Was meint Ihr? Vielen lieben Dank!

Request: Ergänzung zu Anfrage #161657 - weitere Bilder hinzugefügt. 3. Tarsalsegment ist definitiv viel kürzer als das zweite. Der Kopfkiel ist stark ausgebildet und die Halsschildpunktierung ist grob, die einzelnen Punkte miteinander verbunden. Von daher sehe ich hier H. carnicipes. Wenn anhand der Fotos keine Bestimmung vorgenommen werden kann, ist's aber nicht schlimm :)

Comment: Moin Carnifex, danke für die ergänzenden Fotos. Wenn ich gewusst hätte, dass Du Fotos dieser Qualität anfertigen kannst, hätte ich direkt Fotos angefordert. So kann man das Tier als cariniceps, Weibchen (siehe Kopfkiel, der direkt am Vorderrand endet). Ergo bestätigt als Hylis carinicaeps. Foto C kriegt gnadenlos ein Sternchen. ;-) Viele Grüße, Klaas
