On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Wenn ich schon mal einen interessanten neuen Aphodius finde (10.9.19 unter Kuhfladen, 6.5 mm) könnte er doch auch ein rotes Abdomen haben... so bleibt es wohl bei Aphodius fimetarius/pedellus... oder ist es am Ende was anderes, etwa A. foetidus? Schönen Dank!

Comment: Hallo Karin, für eine Abgrenzung von der sehr ähnlichen Acupalpus interstitialis sind die Fotos zu schlecht. Die ausgesprochen geringe Wahrscheinlichkeit auf A. interstitialis und das Biotop lassen aber kaum was anderes zu. Deshalb bestätigt als Acupalpus meridianus. Danke für die Meldung.
