On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo forgi, das ist Triplax russica. Viele Grüße, Michael Die gesamte Unterseite ist rot (Foto B), bei T. russica müsste Mittel- und Hinterbrust schwarz sein. Es sollte sich somit um T. elongata handeln, eine sehr seltene Art, von der Reliktvorkommen aus Österreich und der Slowakei bekannt sind. LG, Christoph Aller guten Dinge sind hoffentlich drei... aus meiner Sicht ist das Triplax scutellaris. T. elongata ist noch länglicher und parallelseitiger (und viel größer als 3-4mm, was aber wahrscheinlich ein wenig unterschätzt ist). Bei uns ist Triplax scutellaris aktuell nur aus Bayern bekannt und selten, in der Slowakei aber wahrscheinlich häufiger. Viele Grüße, Moritz

Request: Pyrrhidium sanguineum. Von einem großen Walnussbaum, dessen Stamm in einigen Metern Höhe gegabelt war, war einer der beiden Stammteile abgebrochen (der Baum wirkt trotzdem noch gesund) und von diesem Käfer gerne angenommen worden. Ca. 10,5mm, 12.05.2019

Request: Oxythyrea funesta. Ich habe mich umgeschaut und vier Individuen beobachtet, drei davon sind abgebildet. Pflanzenbestimmungen kommen bei mir meist ohne Gewähr, ich glaube in diesem Fall aber, die Käfer waren auf Hahnenfußblüten. Am Waldrand, ca. 10mm. 19.05.2019
