On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo!

Comment: Hi Isaias, that's Paracorymbia stragulata. Its occurence is north half of Portugal, northern parts of Spain, in the area of Cadiz (Spain) and in the southern most parts of France (Pyrenees). My books are old, so possibly this beetle is named today Anastrangalia stragulata. Best regards, Klaas

Request: Portugal - 21.07.2014
Species, family:
Stenopterus mauritanicus
Cerambycidae
Comment: Oi Isaias, this specimen from genus Stenopterus with all-red legs can be S. mauritanicus or S. flavicornis. The latter has a black base of the elytra and is anyway not present in Portugal to the best of my knowledge. So it should be Stenopterus mauritanicus. S. ater and S. rufus have (at least partially) black femora. Best regards, Christoph
