On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo liebes Käferteam, erlaubt mir für meine 500. Anfrage einen Exkurs in den Corcovado NP auf Costa Rica. Am 11.02.2019 flog mir auf einer Nachtexkursion, die in einem Bachbett verlief, ein im wahrsten Wortsinne High-Light über den Weg. Ein Elateridae, ca. 30 mm, nach langen Recherchen kam ich auf Deilelater cf. radians. Vielleicht kennt sich ja jemand von Euch aus. So oder so, ich war und bin immer noch hin und weg. Hüpf! diesen kleinen Käfer fand ich am 16.02.2020 abends in einer Buchenwaldabteilung vom FFH Reliktwald Lampertheim, auf einem abgebrochenem verpilzten Ast. Die Aufnahmen von dem Winzling sogar mit meiner Allround-Sony recht gut geworden. :-)
Ist das Laemophloeus kraussi oder monilis?

Request: 14.09.2019 - (KI: Chrysolina haemoptera, 3%, Rang 1) Ich habe die Art noch nicht so oft angetroffen, aber nach einer kleinen Zuschneidediskussion sind wir uns einig geworden, Klein-Kerbie und ich :-)) Die Punktreihen sind, wie Moritz in Antwort 110475 erklärt hat, zwar unordentlich, aber doch noch als Zweierreihen zu erkennen. Die Grösse des Tieres war (erinnerlich geschätzt) ca. 8 eher 9 mmm. Es lief mir (wahrscheinlich mit einem Ziel, das es nur selbst kannte) auf einem befestigten Feldweg vor die Füsse. Aargau, Eiken auf ca. 330 m üNN. Danke vielmals für Euren geduldigen Unterricht! LG Chris
