On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

heute fand ich unter loser Rinde einer umgefallenen Buche diesen Cerylon sp. (2-3mm). Lässt sich die Art überhaupt anhand von Fotos bestimmen; und falls ja: auf welche Merkmale sollte ich beim Fotografieren besonders Wert legen?

Request: Hallo Käferfreunde, ist ja unglaublich wieviel Anfragen ihr zu dieser Jahreszeit jetzt schon wieder tagtäglich wegarbeitet - Respekt! Die ersten Anoplotrupes stercorosus (17.03.2020) schlurchen auch schon wieder munter durch den Wald. Weil´s nachts schon noch empfindlich kalt wird, wollt ich ihm mit dem Mittelchen vom zweiten Foto helfen, aber ich befürchte dem sind die Fühler schon abgefroren. Liebe Grüße und bleibt gesund!
