On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 10.09.2014, 15:30 Uhr; bot. Garten Uni Erlangen, an Weide. MTB richtig?

Läßt sich hier eher was konkretes sagen? Viele Grüßle
Species, family:
Pocadius ferrugineus
Nitidulidae

07.09.2014
Species, family:
Halticinae sp.
Chrysomelidae
Comment: Hi Jozef, this is a representative of the flea beetles (subfamily Halticinae). They are pretty diverse and difficult to determine. Might be genus Aphthona or Longitarsus, but not for sure. Regards, Christoph

LG, Christoph

Request: Caught this one on light near Lheebroek, the Netherlands, on 23.07.2014. I'm quite sure it's a chrysomelidae, and I think it's Aphthona cyparissiae. Am I right?
Species, family:
Longitarsus sp.
Chrysomelidae
Comment: Hello Leon, you are quite right, this is a chrysomelid, but unfortunately it is no Aphthona, but a Longitarsus. There is barely a chance to determine this one on a single photo. Regards, Michael
