On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 25.04.2020 - (KI: Platycerus caraboides, 5%, Rang 1) Wir wären uns hier einig, Klein-Kerbie und ich! Diese strahlende kleine Schönheit habe ich von einer befahrenen Waldstrasse "gefischt". Die Art ist zu Fuss ja eher langsam unterwegs und in Schrecksituationen fehlt ihnen irgendwie der Fluchtreflex. Sie machen sich genauso steif wie ihre Verwandten D. parallelipipedus. Das nützt ja auf der Strasse leider nicht viel :-( Wir haben uns also gemeinsam etwas weiter in den Wald zurückgezogen. Aargau, Hardwald Kaisten auf ca. 330 m üNN. Vielen lieben Dank für Eure Mühe! Request: 23.04.2020 - Hypera postica?? Auch wenn die Bilder leider recht dunkel sind, so erkennt man doch endlich mal auf einem meiner Fotos, wie hübsch dieser Käfer gezeichnet ist! Wenn ich das richitg ablese (Bild C), dann ist das Tier 6 mm klein/gross. Es lief über eine Hauswand in der Altstadt von Laufenburg. Aargau auf ca. 330 m üNN. Lieben Dank für Euren riesigen Bestimmungeinsatz!! Ihr seid inzwischen wohl "Opfer" Eures qualitativ einzigartigen Lehrangebotes ;-) LG Chris

Comment: Hallo Chris, das ist Hypera adspersa. Schau mal die Form des Halsschilds an, der ist sehr schmal, im Gegensatz zu den fast ballonartig aufgeblasen wirkenden der meisten anderen Hypera-Arten. H. postica ist auch etwas anders gefärbt, mit intaktem Schuppenkleid hat der einen ausgedehnten dunklen Bereich um und hinter dem Schildchen, fast die ganze Naht entlang. Da hast Du ein wirklich hübsches, gänzlich frischbepelztes Exemplar von adspersa gefunden! Die Art lebt an Doldenblütlern wie Sellerie, Möhre oder Fenchel. Danke für die Meldung :).
