On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Den hab ich von Eiche geschüttelt und, weil er nur ca. 4 mm lang war, für einen besonders putzigen C. glandium gehalten. Ist aber vermutlich Curculio betulae, Perlacher Forst, 19.05.2020

Comment: Hallo Peda, das ist entweder Scymnus femoralis oder Scymnus rubromaculatus, die sich am Foto nur trennen lassen, wenn man auf der Unterseite deutlich angedunkelte Schenkel sieht, da leider viele S. rubromaculatus ebenfalls einen komplett schwarzen Halsschild aufweisen. LG, Christoph
