On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo Käferfreunde, Kontrollrundgang im Habitat von Hirschkäfer und Großem Rosenkäfer, da kamen uns die Jungs von Bild B gerade recht - ebenso der Totfund von Lucanus cervus (wobei lebend natürlich noch viel schöner gewesen wäre). Request: Neoglocianus maculaalba (Hbst., 1795), Curculionidae?
Klatschmohn, in der Galerie sieht einer danach aus, im Internet fand ich diese Art auf Mohnkapseln tafeln, im Internet findet man unter "großer Mohnrüssler" mit meiner Suchmaschine keine Vergleichsbilder,
ich habe keinen Schimmer was alles auf Mohn daherrüsselt;-)

Comment: Hallo riesenschwirl, Dein kleiner Tanzrüssler ist bestätigt als Neoglocianus maculaalba :). Auf Mohn rüsselt noch Stenocarus ruficornis herum, und früher auch Ethelcus denticulatus und Stenocarus cardui, die aber beide in den meisten Bundesländern inzwischen verschwunden sind. Der N. maculaalba zeichnet sich durch seine auffallend langen Beine aus und ist wenigstens in der Rheinebene noch zu finden. Danke für die Meldung dieses netten Tiers. Viele Grüße, Corinna
