Comment: Moin U.M., es handelt sich um ein Weibchen von Dytiscus dimidiatus. Die Pflasterung lässt mich die Nähe eines Hauses vermuten und ich denke mal, der ist gegen Eure Scheibe gesemmelt. Die Reflektion de rsonne in der Scheibe lässt diesen Käfer eine Wasserfläche vermuten, die er, da Schwimmkäfer, dann gezielt anfliegt. Üblicherweise Bewohner von Gräben und langsam fließenden Bächen und kleinen Flüssen. Beste Grüße, Klaas

Ein Notiophilus sollte es schon sein (die finde ich hier fast das ganze Jahr lang), doch gibt es eventuell Bestimmungsmerkmale, die sich fotografisch festhalten lassen um die Arten zu trennen ?

Comment: Hallo Gregor, das ist ein Notiophilus substriatus. Flügeldeckenspitze mit hellem Fleck. 3. und 4. Fld.-Intervall verbreitert, 5. und 6. schmal, 7. wieder verbreitert. Vom Norden der Iberischen Halbinsel über Westeuropa bis zur Krim und Vorderasien. In Mitteleuropa klafft eine breite Verbreitungslücke vom Unterlauf der Elbe an bis zu den Vorkommen in der Schweiz, Österreich und Ungarn. An Ufern stehender und langsam fließender Gewässer. Die Perspektive von Foto B ist gut für die Bestimmung geeignet, nur noch ein bisschen näher ran :-) LG, Christoph

dieser ca. 7 mm große Käfer krabbelte gestern, 18.3.2015 über eine geflickte Stelle an meiner Gartenteichfolie. Ein Dytiscidae, vielleicht einer von den Agabussen (meine vage Vermutung).

Comment: Moin technischer Dino, es handelt sich um die häufigste Art der Gattung Dytiscus bei uns, Dytiscus marginalis, auch Gemeiner Gelbrandkäfer genannt, ein Weibchen. Die können sehr gut fliegen, gehören aber im Prinzip ins Wasser. Vermutlich hat die Dame die Reflektion einer Scheibe im Sonnenlicht als Wasserfläche interpretiert und folgerichtig angeflogen. Passiert immer wieder. Hab mal erlebt, wie einer vor meinen Füßen in eine nur wenige Milimeter tiefe Wasserlache geplumpst ist, die ihn nicht mal bedeckte. Beste Grüße, Klaas
