On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Diesen Käfer hatten wir heute (29.01.2021) an der Hauswand. Die Größe war etwa 5mm. Leider habe ich nicht viel bestimmen können, vielleicht so in die Richtung Borkenkäfer (Scolytinae). Lässt sich mehr zu diesem Käfer sagen? Vielen Dank!

Request: Ein Ocypus (s.l.), am 17.3.20 aus Kröteneimer, ca. 16.5 mm gemessen. Kopf recht quadratisch, Kopf und Halsschild glänzen, punktfreie Mittellinie, Dornen an den Vorderschienen (Bild A) -> wieder Ocypus nitens (Ocypus nero). Danke und LG
