On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Tessenderlo, 03.04.2021. This Tychius sp. was sitting on Cytisus scoparius. It has the same size as the beautiful Tychius parallelus who were also present on this Cytisus scoparius. Kind regards, Peter
Species, family:
Tychius sp.
Curculionidae
Comment: Hi Peter, I'm afraid I can't say more than Tychius sp. either. My best candidate would be T. junceus but that should have more red around the rostrum. Not sure if that is a "must" character or not. The bulging eyes exclude some other species which seem otherwise suitable so that I'm not getting a good result, sorry. Best wishes, Corinna
