On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo Käferfreunden, von Schnellkäfern hab ich keine Ahnung - aber das Motiv auf der Maiglöckchenblüte war einfach zu nett. Die Lilioceris merdigera nebenan haben sich alle fallen lassen, wenn man sie fotografieren wollte - somit blieb nur der Schnellkäfer. Waldrand, Buchenmischwald, geschätzte 12 mm., 31.05.2021. Request: Hallo Käferfreunde, der Grünrüssler dachte sich wohl, wenn schon bei der Orchidee das Grün fehlt, muss er für die nötige Farbe sorgen (auf Neottia nidus-avis). Schlechte Fotos, aber unter so vielen Buchen wird´s dunkel im Wald... Geschätzte 7 mm. 31.05.2021. Besten Dank für´s allabendliche Lehr- und Unterhaltungsprogramm sowie beste Grüße

Request: Bei diesem Tier dachte ich zunächst an Rhagonycha limbata. Jetzt meine ich, dass Cantharis decipiens besser passt. Gibt es da ein Merkmal zur Unterscheidung beider Gattungen? Fund vom 31.05.2021 in der Allerniederung an einem Pappelzweig, etwa 8 mm groß. Viele Grüße Reinhard

LG, Christoph - PS: Die Trennung geht über die Klauenspitzen, einspitzig bei Cantharis, alle Klauenspitzen oder zumindest der 2 hinteren Beinpaare 2-spitzig bei Rhagonycha & Co. Nix für's Lebendfoto. Aber Vergleich mal in unserer Übersicht die Halsschildform von Cantharis und Rhagonycha. Das hilft auch schon weiter.
