On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Auf Stockrose sitzender, ca. 3mm kleiner Käfer, blau metallisch glänzend. Er wartete leider nicht so lange, bis ich ein scharfes Foto hatte, sondern ließ sich fallen.
Könnt Ihr trotzdem was erkennen?

Comment: Hallo Antje, das ist entweder Aspidapion radiolus oder Aspidapion validum, die ich an den vorliegenden Fotos leider nicht trennen kann. Ich tendiere zu letzterem, aber vielleicht ist da doch mehr Behaarung auf den Flügeldecken, als es scheint. Zumindest kann ich den radiolus also nicht ausschliessen. Viele Grüße, Corinna

Comment: Hallo Volkmar, schicke Aufnahme, wobei ich dachte zuerst, die käm aus dem Fundus der Ufo-Sichtung, die das Pentagon kürzlich veröffentlicht hat. Ich glaub Dir natürlich, dass sich der Abendsegler 'nen Hirschkäfer geschnappt hat, aber "bestimmen" kann ich's am Foto natürlich nicht, daher setz ich ein cf. dazu.
