On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Ochthebius minimus? Es musste wohl sein, also habe ich mich mit diesem Käfer noch einmal intensiv beschäftigt. Die Untergattung Asiobates kann man meiner Meinung nach zweifelsfrei erkennen. In dieser kommen, wie ich es sehe, auch nur O. minimus oder flavipes infrage. Letzterer ist deutlich weniger wahrscheinlich, aber ich weiß nicht, ob ich ihn ausschließen kann. An einem Teich, ca. 2,0mm. 09.10.2021

Request: Proteinus atomarius vielleicht, wenn nicht wahrscheinlich. Die sehr geringe Größe spricht deutlich dafür, aber ich möchte nicht zu forsch bei der Bestimmung sein und ja, P. laevigatus ist auch nicht so viel größer. Der Käfer war auf Mulm an einem toten Balkenschröter, vom dem ich ihn wahrscheinlich vertrieb, weil ich das kleine Tier erst gar nicht bemerkt hatte. Ca. 1,3mm (RL ca. 1,0mm). 16.10.2021
