On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 23.07.2016 Ungenrieder Weiher 610m Cantharis cf. thoracica ca 6mm
Species, family:
Cantharis fulvicollis
Cantharidae
Comment: Hallo Bergmänndle, Cantharis thoracica sollte passen.

Sorry, Holger

Request: 11.06.2016 Found in Breemeersen - Nieuwkerke - Belgium. 5mm
Species, family:
Cantharis sp.
Cantharidae
Comment: Hi Manval, this is Cantharis thoracica. Best regards, Christoph Hi Manval, in this case I can just determine the genus Cantharis. The scutellum is dark what excludes thoracia, I guess it is fulvicollis but there is a small chance to be lateralis so I better not ID. Best regards, Holger

Request: Guten Abend, ist das Cantharis thoracica? Bei Schöngeising, 13.06.2017
Species, family:
Cantharis fulvicollis
Cantharidae
