On this page you can find photos submitted by users. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case at least a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.
Requests to the kerbtier.de ID team can be submitted on the request page. The answered requests are published here shortly (currently 5 hours on average) after submitting.

Request: Agrypnus murina, hing in Spinnennetz, da keine Spinne aktiv war (Käfer zu groß?) erst zwei Fotos, dann den Finger zum Festhalten - der Käfer war mit dieser Unterlage kräftig genug, sich selbst loszuzupfen. Ehemalige Kiesgrube westlich von Langenfeld-Berghausen, 2022-05-07. LG und Danke!

Comment: Moin FElix, mit viel Mühen als Bembidion properans bestimmt. Beim Zwillingspärchen lampros/properans ist eine Seitenaufnahme sehr wichtig, um den 7. Streifen auf den Flügeldecken erkennen zu können. Hier nicht erkennbar. Deshalb andere Merkmale, die aber schwammig sind, herangezogen. Sollte trotzdem passen. Liebe Grüße, Klaas Die Fld.-Punkte sind äußerst fein eingestochen, viel feiner als bei lampros/properans. Bembidion pygmaeum ist's. LG, Christoph

Request: Liebes Käferteam, 7.05.2022, bei Lessoc (Kanton Freiburg, ca. 820m ü.M.), ein Aaskäfer, ca. 15 mm, auf Feldweg. Den hielt ich zuerst für Silpha obscura (schwach ausgeprägte Rippen auf den Flügeldecken), bekam dann aber Zweifel, ob es nicht doch S. tristis sein könnte (Flügeldeckenpunktierung). Comment: Hallo GregorSamsa, über das Tier haben Klaas und ich lange diskutiert. Den Flügeldeckenrippen nach eigentlich "eindeutig" obscura. Die Punktierung im ersten Intervall an der Fld.-Basis ist allerdings tatsächlich recht dicht, und nicht gröber und weitläufiger. Ich habe auch mal mit ganzen Reihen von S. obscura verglichen, die sich hier im Lauf der Jahre angesammelt haben: Bei manchen sieht man das Merkmal deutlich, bei anderen weniger. Dein Tier hier bleibt daher auch für uns mit Zweifeln behaftet und es geht vorerst nur bis Silpha sp. LG, Christoph
