On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Ein schöner fetter Käfer aus San Diego, USA. Das Bild hat meine Nichte gemacht, die dort gerade in Urlaub war. Ich nehme an, das ist ein Cotinis mutabilis, Größe vermutlich irgendwas zwischen 2 und 3 cm. Bin ganz neidisch ;-). Gefunden am 27.07.2015 im Auto. Viele liebe Grüße!

Request: St. Jure 1762m hoch, 2.6.15, sind zimlich agressiv gewesen und haben in Scharen die Leute angeflogen und man hatte das gefühl sie Zwicken/beissen, ca, 1cm gross.

Request: Aufgrund der Halsschildpunktierung und des Blauschimmers vermute ich hier Smaragdina affinis. Der Habitus liegt allerdings genau zwischen Euren Galeriebildern von affinis und aurita, und Foto C zeigt die Länge von etwa 4,5mm. Was meint Ihr dazu? Gefunden am 06.06.2015 in der Schavener Heide, 283m üNN, Futterpflanze leider nicht bekannt. Vielen Dank!
