On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Eine Käferlarve unter der Rinde einer toten Eiche (?). Ca. 25-30 mm, 18.08.2015. Mehr Fotos leider nicht. Es hat geregnet wie aus Eimern und das Tier ist weggelaufen.

Comment: Moin Martin, sollte die Larve von Pyrochroa coccinea sein. Aber Vorsicht, es gibt eindeutige Verwechslungsmöglichkeiten mit P. serraticornis, Schizotus pectinicornis und Cucujus cinnabarinus. Viele Grüße, Klaas

Comment: Hallo AliWi, den halte ich für Chlorophorus aegyptiacus, aber da darf noch eine weitere Meinung her. LG, Christoph Flügeldeckenenden micht verrundet, sondern in eine leichte Spitze ausgezogen, womit Chlorophorus trifasciatus entfällt. Chlorophorus nigripes = syn. von aegyptiacus. Somit sollte es keine Zweifel geben. Viele Grüße, Klaas

Request: Leider das einzige überhaupt brauchbare Foto einer Larve, die wir in einer verrottenden Birke gefunden haben, 2,5 cm, 11.08.2015. Laubmischwald.

Comment: Moin Martin, es handelt sich um die Larve einer der vielen Ampedus-Arten. Vielleicht erinnerst Du Dich, dass sie sich ungewöhnlich hart und stavil anfühlte. Der Grund, weshalb sie im Volksmund auch "Drahtwurm" genannt wird. Viele Grüße, Klaas
