  Hallo Rüsselkäferin, richtig erkannt. Mit dem roten Kopf gut von P. coccinea zu unterscheiden. Etwas seltener als dieser aber auch überall verbreitet. Im Mai und Juni an Waldrändern und Waldlichtungen, aber auch mal auf Wiesen zu finden. Die Larven leben räuberisch unter Laubbaumrinde. LG, Christoph

Zum Schluss nochmal was Leichtes ;). Auch aus der Wahner Heide, 6. Mai 2013, auf einem sandigen Weg. Mit Cicindela campestris bin ich mir ziemlich sicher. Es gab dort auch einige Cicindela hybrida, aber die waren noch zickiger und haben mich überhaupt nicht rangelassen (miese Fotos). Vielen Dank und liebe Grüße!

An Deinem Foto wage ich keine Trennung. Beide Arten paläarktisch verbreitet, nach Nordamerika eingeschleppt. Eurytop. Oft beide Arten gemeinsam im selben Habitat.   Hi Inja, this is difficult to judge from the photos. Two-colored, like the very common C. aurata, bit the elytra and head are relatively darf, and the punctation of the pronotum seems rather fine. That would favor C. nitidula. But some uncertainty remains. Regards, Christoph
