View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

No date of discovery found. Please contact webmaster!
Request: Found in a bog in a forrest a few days ago. Approx. 3 mm. Obviously a Hyperaspis, but which one? Only H. pseudopustulata is known from Denmark.
Species, family:
Hyperaspis sp.
Coccinellidae
Comment: Hi Poul, in this case I just dare to confirm the genus Hyperaspis. They can be quite tricky, so we've asked an external expert for advice, but it might take some time. We'll let you know if we can determine this beetle any further. Best regards, Christoph

Request: Ist dies Trixagus dermestoides? 3 mm, 23.07 2016, Hauseingang Münchner Süden. Vielen Dank und Gruß Christine
Species, family:
Trixagus sp.
Throscidae

LG, Christoph
