On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo zusammen, leider nur ein Totfund am 27.07.2016. Das war ein Männchen von Oryctes nasicornis, Länge ohne Kopf 35 mm. Den habe ich auf dem Gelände der Ruhr-Uni in dreißig Jahren zum ersten Mal gefunden. Grüße, Butz

Comment: Hallo Finnie, das ist Curculio crux, der Kreuz-Gallenbohrer. In fast ganz Europa. Auf Weidengebüsch, besonders im Frühjahr. Die Larve in den Blattgallen der Blattwespen Cryptocampus venustus und Pontania proxima. Dreimal darfste also raten, was der (vielmehr die) hier gerade macht... Coole Fotos! Admin-Stern! noch ein Bruchus affinis, Größe ca. 4 mm, am 27.7.2016 an einer weit entfernt liegenden anderen Stelle im Nordwesten von Gernsbach gefunden als bei 53665, allerdings auch wieder an Lathyrus.
