View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Location: Grunewald, Berlin, Germany
Date: 22.10.2016
Some kind of leaf beetle? She was alive, but moving very slowly. The third photo is the result of accidentally flipping her over while trying to get a clear shot.
Thanks!
Species, family:
Galeruca interrupta
Chrysomelidae
Comment: Hi Hannah, this is Galeruca interrupta a very rare find in Germany. If it was as cold in Berlin today as along the Rhine, the speed of the beetle is easyly explained. Thanks for submitting. Best regards, Holger

Comment: Hi MiguelBk, in this case I can just determine the genus Curculio. A good photo from dorsal view might help to identify it further. Best regards, Christoph
