View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 02.04.2017
ap. 15 mm
Acmaeoderella degener (?)
Species, family:
Acmaeodera degener
Buprestidae
Comment: Hi anaval, the tribe Acmaeoderini is way more diverse in Portugal than it is in Central Europe. There are more than a dozen species from genera Acmaeodera and Acmaeoderella. Going through the checklist of the Portuguese I am confident that this should be Acmaeodera degener. Best regards, Christoph
