Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Tiergröße ca. wie Goldrosenkäfer, 20 mm ohne Extremitäten. Form passt aber nicht zum Trauer-Rosenkäfer. Habe noch einige Käfer von dort zu bestimmen.... Species, family: Julodis sp. Buprestidae Comment: Hallo bbeton, das Tier halte ich für einen Vertreter der Gattung Julodis. Ich kenne mich nicht gut genug in der nordafrikanischen Buprestiden-Fauna aus, um hier eine wirkliche Bestimmung abzugeben. Ich würde aber Richtung der recht variablen Art J. onopordi vermuten.
