View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Species, family:

Species, family:
Monochamus sartor
Cerambycidae
Comment: Moin Schwabe, man neigt dazu zu singen: "Always look on the bright side of life...". ;-) Ja, das geht. Monochamus sartor. Monochamus sartor: komplett gelblich-weiß tomentiert, ohne kahle Stelle. Viele Grüße, Klaas

Request: Enicopus pilosus ?
Italy, Aoste valley, Valnontey, 11 july 2017, ca 1700 m
Length : 6-7mm
I know there are a few similar species of Enicopus in Italy. And difficult to determinate but maybe you have more experience with the national parc Gran Paradiso.
Best regards,
Johan
Species, family:
Enicopus sp.
Melyridae
Comment: Hi Johan, Enicopus is a difficult genus to identify. There is no way to identify female ones. To identify male ones one needs the prolongations of the hindtibia, which can't be seen in this photo. So I'm sorry, but there is no way for further ID then the genus. Best regards, Klaas

Request: Fund vom 26.04.2009, trockene Grasflur. Ist das ein Cantharis paradoxa oder obscura? Gruß Reinhard
Species, family:
Cantharis obscura
Cantharidae
