On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo KD, das ist der Gescheckte Nagekäfer Xestobium rufovillosum, im Volksmund auch Totenuhr genannt. Man findet die Tiere an Eiche und Weide, sowohl im Freiland als auch in verbautem Holz. Bei letzterem treten sie als Sekundärschädling auf, wenn das Holz bereits durch Pilze vorgeschädigt ist. LG, Christoph
