On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo katrit, das Schildchen sieht breit aus, aber ich seh hier keine Zähnchen an den Vorderschenkeln. Demnach müsste es eigentlich ein Curculio betulae sein. Der ist recht klein, aber wenn die 5mm leicht überschätzt wären, käme es hin. Eventuell gibt es hier noch eine zweite Meinung dazu. Request: Hallo zusammen, im Dachgeschoss seit längerer Zeit in Anzahl zu finden, heute (01.05.2018) endlich mal mit mäßigem Erfolg fotografiert. Die sind erstaunlich flink. Meine Tochter behauptet sie würden beißen. Körperlänge 2,5 bis 3 mm. Stegobium paniceum, aber da ist ein roter Punkt. Herzlichen Gruß und Dank, Butz

Das ist ein Männchen, mit dem sehr langem Pygidium, das allmählich zu einer relativ breiten Spitze ausläuft. Klaas hat das auch schon in der Seitenansicht erkannt, weil das Pygidium der anderen Arten nie so lang wird! Asche auf mein Haupt. Aber mit dem Zusatzfoto kann auch ich jetzt heute Nacht gut schlafen ;). LG Corinna

Request: Hallo zusammen, habe diesen kleinen Laufkäfer (7mm) auf der schwäbischen Alb gefunden. Könnt ihr mir weiterhelfen? Habe ihn gefangen und im Becherglas fotografiert (Bild1) danach noch 2 Bilder bei der "Entlassung" gemacht. Wenn also weitere Bilder notwendig sind um ihn zu bestimmen hätte ich noch welche. Comment: Moin _Stefan_, streng wissenschaftlich betrachtet Dytiscus spec. Wir werden die auch nicht in die Datensätze aufnehmen, weil sie anhand des Fotos nicht sauber zu bestimmen ist. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass Du eine andere Larve als D. marginalis erwischt hast, ist aber ausgesprochen gering. Viele Grüße, Klaas
