View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Very little beetles (+- 2mm) found in Trooz Belgium on 2/5/2018. I think Miaris spec, but can you specify this further. They all were feeding on the plant Armeria.
Many thanks again.
Species, family:
Cleopomiarus sp.
Curculionidae
Comment: Hi KoTho, this could possibly be Cleopomiarus micros, which develops on Jasione. It is not unlikely that Jasione grows in places with Ameria, but is not yet available for the weevils. One would need to see the animals under the microscope in order to be sure. Best regards, Michael

Species, family:
Trachyphloeus cf. bifoveolatus
Curculionidae

Also wieder Ceutorhynchus constrictus?
