View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: I found this small beetle in the woods next to our flat in Budapest on 20-04-18 but it's very common everywhere. It's about 3 mm long. Unfortunately the Phyllobius species are very similar to each other but I think this should be Phyllobius argentatus.
Species, family:
Phyllobius sp.
Curculionidae
Comment: Hi SkynetTX, in this case I can just determine the genus Phyllobius. Best regards, Christoph
