The hairy fungus beetles (Myceto­phagidae) are a small family of medium-sized to small beetles. Worldwide approx. 200 species in 18 genera have been described, thereof 17 from Germany. The majority of the species is associated with bracket fungi, live under bark or in mouldy hay.
