On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hi, size 5-6mm, 6.4.2014, Slovakia, thank you
Species, family:
Liophloeus sp.
Curculionidae
Comment: Hi Cilko, this is a representative of genus Donus. This genus is difficult to determine by photo. On top of that the genus is quite speciose, especially in Southeast Europe. Let's stick to Donus sp. here. Regards, Christoph Oh, this picture is still a tricky one ;)! This is a male specimen of a Liophloeus-species - maybe the same like the female in the other picture. Best regards, Thomas

Species, family:

Carabidae
Comment: Hello Jonas, this is a specimen of an Amara-species. I only know this colouration in Amara bifrons. But this is only an assumption - a good ID is not possible with this pictures. Best regards, Thomas

Species, family:
Liophloeus sp.
Curculionidae
Comment: Hi cilko, this is a female of a Liophloeus-species. The Eastern European species are hard to determinate and it is not possible with a picture of a female for me at all.
Best regards
Thomas

Gruß an's Team, Udo
Species, family:
Aspidapion validum
Apionidae

An Stäuchern, Larve unterirdisch an Wurzeln. Häufig. LG, Christoph

Besten Dank Robert
