On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo miteinander, kann man zu diesem 2,8mm großen Rüsselkäfer mehr sagen? Evtl. Barypeithes tenex käme von der Größe her ganz gut hin kommt in BW aber wohl (noch) nicht vor - Barypeithes montanus wäre von der Höhe her naheliegend wäre in dem Fall aber wohl zu klein...? (Laut Rüsslekäfer BW´s) Gefunden auf 1415m auf der Spitze des Herzogenhorns 23.06.18 LG und Dank, Christoph

Comment: Hallo Wolfgang, der gehört zur Gattung Miarus, eine sehr schwierige Käfergruppe. Die sind eher montan, sitzen allerdings meist an Glockenblume. Vielleicht hat ihn die ähnliche Farbe angelockt, auf jeden Fall geht es hier leider nur bis Miarus sp., sorry :(. Viele Grüße, Corinna
