On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 23.7.2018, auf Engelwurz, >1cm, eventuell junger Trauer-Rosenkäfer, Oxythyrea funesta. Zweifel, da so wenig helle Flecken und Auftreten normalerweise erst im Spätsommer (aber dieser Sommer ist ja nicht "normal").

Comment: Hallo Eifellise, bestätigt als Oxythyrea funesta. Im Gegenteil, ich denke, dass er schon etwas älter ist. Frisch geschlüpfte Tiere sind ganz fein oberseits behaart und die weißen Flecken deutlich zu sehen. Mit zunehmendem Alter geht die Behaarung und Beschuppung verloren, wodurch das Tier dunkler wirkt. Das Auftreten im Spätsommer kann ich nicht bestätigen, die ersten Tiere erscheinen schon im April. Zumindest der kerbtier.de-Datensatz zeigt eine Phänologie mit Maximum Ende Mai.
