On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Ergänzung zur Meldung #108930 (gleiche Fundumstände: 16.08.2018, auf Zitterpappel-Schösslingen, Auwiese südlich von [16230] Grüntal): Chrysomela populi (Großer Pappelblattkäfer), Puppe im Übergang zur Imago. - Ist dies eine "steckengebliebene", unvollständige Imago-Ausreifung?? (Eine Studie der TU Dresden 2011 stellt eine "erhebliche Mortalität" auf dem Schritt von der Puppe zur Imago fest.) - Diese Kreatur war lebendig und bewegte zu meinem Schreck plötzlich die Beine! - In den kleinen Fotos sind zum Kontrast "gesunde" Körperbilder dazugesetzt.

Comment: Hallo zimorodek, das ist wahrscheinlich Platystethus capito. Dafür spricht klar die extrem verrunzelte Punktierung des Halsschildes. Die Flügeldecken sind aber eher stark behaart, daher setze ich ein cf. Die Art ist ziemlich selten. Viele Grüße, Holger Ok Zimorodek hat mich dann doch noch überzeugt. Platystethus capito und cf ist weg. Holger
