On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo, liebes Käferteam, ein Curculio, den ich in der Nähe von Haselnusssträuchern vom Boden aufgelesen habe. Er zuckte noch ein wenig, aber viel war nicht mehr mit ihm los. Der lange Rüssel sieht auch irgendwie verletzt aus. Größe ca. 7-8 mm. Das Schildchen ist sehr schmal, daher vermute ich (trotz der benachbarten Haselnusssträucher) einen Curculio glandium. Comment: Hallo dd, hier geht es für mich leider nur bis zur Gattung Longitarsus. Man meint allerdings auf den recht guten Fotos zu erkennen, dass die Stirnhöcker dorsal scharfkantig begrenzt sind, was die Anzahl möglicher Kandidaten doch sehr eingrenzt. Auf Heidekraut lebt aber keine von denen. Viele Grüße, Michael

Comment: Hallo Reinsberg, den halte ich für Tropiphorus cucullatus, eine montane Art, die an Berg-Flockenblume lebt. Aber da darf noch jemand drüberschauen, weil T. elevatus ziemlich ähnlich ist (und häufiger). Jener hätte einen Kiel auf der Halsschildmitte, da bin ich mir etwas unsicher, ob hier einer ist. Request: Pseudoophonus griseus, denke ich. Die Haare sind zwar nicht richtig grau, aber die Beine scheinen mir für Ps. rufipes zu hell. Oder sind sie nur noch nicht ausgefärbt? Am 17.8.18 unter Totholz auf trockener Wiese am Odenwaldhang, 10.5 12 mm. Viele Grüße Kalli - P.S. Der Calathus aus der Meldung davor war 13 mm, nicht 12.

Aber leider kann ich das nicht 100% beurteilen und Stenurella nigra nicht komplett ausschließen würde. Danke für die Meldung.
