On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

LG Chris
Species, family:
Poecilus cupreus
Carabidae
Comment: Hallo Chris, fast richtig.

Comment: Hi Jozef, I'm afraid, we have to leave this specimen with Chrysolina sp. The genus is quite diverse and in this case we would need the specimen under to binocular. Sorry & best regards, Christoph

Request: Found yesterday, South Poland, on coniferous tree. I suspect Rhizophagus perforatus? Correct?
Species, family:
Pityophagus cf. ferrugineus
Nitidulidae
Comment: Hello Inja, for me it looks more like Pityophagus, although the species should be confirmed by another guy from the team. Cheers, Oliver I agree with the genus. Have a look at the puncture of the elytra: in orderly rows in Rhizophagus, but chaotic in Pityphagus. Regarding the species: 3 species in Poland, likely to be P. ferrugineus, but with residual uncertainty. Regards, Christoph

Request: Hallo liebes Bestimmungsteam! Bitte schafft Klarheit in mein Wirrwar! Danke und liebe Grüße (29.04.2014, Terrasse)
Species, family:
Badister bullatus
Carabidae
LG, Christoph
