On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo zimorodek, das ist wahrscheinlich Tachinus pallipes. Lange Seitenrandborsten erst ab Segment 7, Halsschild und Elytren mikroskulptiert, Vorderrand des Halsschildes ungerandet, Tomentflecken kann ich nicht gut genug einschätzen, abstehende helle Randung vom Halsschild passt aber sehr gut. Es ist ein Männchen, deshalb ist das Tergit in Foto C nicht hilfreich, man müsste hier das 7. sternit erkennen. Eine häufige Art vor allem in Wäldern, trotzdem habe ich die auch noch nicht gefunden. Comment: Hallo Michael55, das Ergebnis meiner kleinen Recherche ist, dass es sich um Lagriinen aus der Gattung Neoeutrapela handelt. Hier kannst du einige Vergleichsbilder finden. Ich gebe zu bedenken, dass ich kein Kenner der südafrikanischen Fauna bin und mich bei dieser Bestimmung auf eine dünne Quellenlage stütze. Viele Grüße, Moritz
