On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Melandrya caraboides. Zwei verschiedene Käfer. Den aus den Bildern B und C habe ich dabei beobachtet, wie er das Totholz verließ, ich denke, er war gerade erst geschlüpft (obwohl das die Frage aufwirft, wieso er offensichtlich ausgefärbt ist, vgl. #115476). Ich hatte den Eindruck, dass der Käfer erst die Öffnung erweitern musste, bis er hindurchpasste. Das dauerte mindestens zehn Minuten. Den genauen Zeitpunkt, als er hervortrat, habe ich verpasst (ich wollte den Käfer bei so einer sensiblen Beschäftigung nicht belästigen und habe daher Abstand gehalten), danach flitzte er sofort rasch weg. An Totholz, >1cm, 08.05.2018
