Request: Hallo, diese kleinen Käfer krabbeln zur Zeit, 24.02.2019, viel in Christrosen und Krokus herum, dieser allerdings auf der Terrasse, sie sind ca. 2-3 mm lang. Ist es ein Meligethes? Schwarz und klein ist immer schwierig, die Pünktchen sind glaube ich Staubkörnchen. Danke und Grüße

Hallo liebes Käferteam, die KI schwankt zwischen s.o. und Aphidecta obliterata 12% bei dorsaler Ansicht. Für mich käme noch Adalia decempunctata in Frage, aber vermutlich landen wir bei Harmonia axyridis. Interessant sind noch die 'Gewächse' auf dem Tierchen. Zunächst dachte ich an Moos, es könnten aber auch Eier sein? Gefunden habe ich den ca. 4 mm kleinen an der Pumpstation der Mechtersheimer Tongruben am 23.02.2019. Comment: Hallo Emmemm, bestätigt als Harmonia axyridis. Die "Gewächse" hatten wir hier schon öfter erklärt, es sind die Fruchtkörper parasitärer Schlauchpilze. Die findet man zuweilen an Käfern, besonders an solchen die in nassen Habitaten leben (zB Uferlaufkäfer sind fast immer infestiert). Danke für die Meldung. Viele Grüße, Fabian

Comment: Hallo KonradZ, das ist ein Quedius. Die kann man meist ganz gut an der Form des Kopfs von Philonthus unterscheiden. Zur Art komme ich hier leider nicht. Es könnte Quedius levicollis (hier noch Quedius tristis) sein, aber für eine sichere Bestimmung müsste ich die Punktierung des Kopfs besser erkennen können. Viele Grüße, Moritz
