On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Eigentlich dachte ich das wäre ein und der selbe Käfer... liegt das am Blitz das der so anders ausschaut? Vor allem die Fühler erscheinen anders. Kann gerne getrennt werden wenn´s 2 verschiedene Arten sind. Die Messung des ersten Bildes ergab 2,8mm. 24.03.2019

Comment: Hallo Christoph, das ist Tachyta nana. Dass die beiden Bilder etwas anders aussehen ist ein Foto-Artefekt. Bild A ist auf relativ dunklem Untergrund, Bild B auf hellem, rükstrahlendem. Dadurch werden die Ränder der Antennen überstrahlt. Danke für die Meldung. Viele Grüße, Fabian
