On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Found today, mountain forest, South Poland. P. calcaratus and ? Again Athous haemorrhoidalis?
Species, family:
Athous haemorrhoidalis
Elateridae
Comment: Hi Inja, Athous haemorrhoidalis is right, in photo A as well as in B (it is the same specimen. The Phyllobius calcaratus is a bit difficult. In phota A very blurred in photo B in a bad ancle. I guess it is P. calcaratus, but not with its last security. Best regards, Klaas

Galerucella aquatica? danke
Species, family:
Galerucella sp.
Chrysomelidae
Comment: Hi Cilko, genus Galerucella is grown to be a difficult one. Especially the Galerucella-auqatica-aggregate is of three or four species that need dissection. So far I can only tell Galerucella spec. Sorry. Best regards, Klaas

Request: Hallo
Funddaten: Deutschland, Saarland, Bexbach, 13. Mai 2014, Höhe 249 m ü. NN
Danke und Gruß Volker
Species, family:
Chrysolina cf. herbacea
Chrysomelidae
